Personality || Jelly is an interesting colt. If he's in the stables he'll act as quiet as a two year old stud can get. He was taught his manners well and minds them when he can remember. In he seems to lose his mind and his manners in the pasture. He's been known to run from people and even kick at anyone that passes by. Often you have to catch him at dinner time just so he'll come.
If he's on the track working, he's very attentive. He'll listen well to all cues and seems to always give more then he can physically give. He is very wiggly and always excited, hence his nickname. At a race it's a different story.

Racing Style || He'll seem calm in the post parade, but once he gets near that gate he seems to become more hot then the typical Thoroughbred. It takes a while to get him in- though most think he just does it for the attention- he'll settle down at first then bang around if the gates don't open fast enough.Once the gates are open and he's out on the track he'll take a position right behind the front runner and pressure him faster and faster by slowly gaining on the lead then dropping back. The front runner will likely tire and slow, unwillingly and letting the next horse take the lead. The strategy is practiced in every race and seems to do great for the colt. His superior stamina and speed lends him luck in not tiring, but he's a sprinter through and through - if he was a distance runner his strategy wouldn't work. When it comes to people Jelly is neutral. He's not sweet, but he's not too menacing. It's hard to gain his trust because he usually shuts everybody out. He seems to simply not care for his human care takers. It takes a great deal of time with the colt to finally get that bond forged.
