Personality || sweet pea came to us during green horse field's downsize sale. of course we were simply looking around too see if there was any good ones to add to our string. we laid eyes upon sweet pea and couldn't help but consider her racing in our colors. sweet pea is flirtatious and vivacious, with an unmistakable love for life. she is stunning on the track, always running to the best of her ability despite the regularly tough competition and track conditions. she loves the attention she receives in the winners circle, which undoubtedly is the reason she wants to win so bad. that and her natural competitiveness - sweet pea hates to lose. it's obvious that she does everything in her power to be first over the line just by the gleam visible in her eye as she charges down the stretch. this filly is most defiantly one of a kind. were certainly glad to add this different personality to our racing string.

since sweety as we now call her has been at c.o.p. we have noticed a few things, first she is one tough filly and does not take crap from anyone. second she has a light mouth, and back we have figured out so we have decided to put her in a lighter bit. since understanding that no matter how tough this filly is she wants to be treated light we have madison, her jockey has gotten closer to her and there bonding well. sweety is nice but tends to crib so we try and keep her outside a lot. madison has fallen for this filly and tends to be seen just taking her for walks or chilling out which she enjoys. although sweety may pin her ears some times or try to bite she won't. she mainly puts on a show to keep other horses away from her. but deep down we found out sweety has a kindred soul and actually adores being around people and doesn't mind little kids too. we are very pleased overall with our choice on purchasing this lovely filly and cannot wait to show the world this unmistakable personality that sweety sometimes keeps hidden inside of her.

Racing Style || sweety breaks from the gate at a not slow but not fast pace, she tends to settle behind the the leaders of the pack and keeps to herself, although she does make awesome runs on the rail sweety prefers the outside as to not get jostled by other horses since this is her biggest pet peeve. once she has gotten going sweety opens up and simply looks lazy as she passes by other horses, most of the time many people don't bet on her because of how she looks in the paddock, lazy which is just how she is, she's hyper to those who know her and actually dances around a bit. so when she comes around the backstretch you just see this filly's ears perk up and she lengthens a lot having such a huge stride amounts to a lot and sweety catches up easily. you can't really pull her around horses due to her soft mouth so try to open up rein but mainly she will guide herself. most of the time however she will be on the outside. anyways at the end she should have passed many and still have her ground-eating stride going.
